Have had a 2011 Limited and a 2013 SEL. The word on Water pump is, "expect to replace it before or at 300,000 miles." The 2011 WP went somewhere between 200k and 250k so had to replace it, maybe because I am in Arizona. It is not like old external WP of the past. When I had the WP replaced in the 2011, that's when I found out the water pump is INSIDE the engine, surrounded by 3-4 O-Rings and canals to move oil AND water. Don't get me wrong, I love my Edge, but designing a water-pump (mechanism) inside an engine is about as smart as expecting your ex-wife to know oil does not go in the "lid" marked WATER, she couldn't figure out the "710" cap. In other words, there'll be lots of labor cost.
